I recently moved in to a new apartment in Royal Ascot, Milnerton. Since I've moved in I have literally never been able to go onto the internet with my cellphone. I have a Blackberry 8520 and I'm lucky if I get two bars on my signal strength meter. Sometimes the signal is totally lost and the home screem displays the message: "Searching for network". During calls I can hardly hear the person on the other side or the call simply drops.
I initially thought the reception is only bad inside the apartment but trust me it's not better outside either. Just shows you how weak the reception really is because MTN has no problem getting full reception inside or outside. 3G reception isn't better either. My friend had his USB 3G stick at my place the other day and could not connect.
I'm considering changing network because of this.
