Subscribed for the 1Mbps Uncapped ADSL special in July 2011. Cancelled in October 2011 via the special cancellation website and did not receive a reference. Then phoned through cancellation and received a reference.
A few weeks later we were billed for the service even though we'd cancelled it. This carried on for months with Telkom not fixing the issue. Eventually we were receiving additional bills for a Yellow Pages subscription (on a line we don't even have any more).
Telkom then referred us to MMcapital and finally VVM to recover the money. We have continued to provide all the information and this eventually satisfied MMcapital but now VVM is on our case. Our so-called debt is now in the R1000's even though there's been no proof furnished to contradict our submitted facts.
Harassment, Inefficiency, Stubborn refusal to accept the facts = Telkom.
