I went to an MTN store, so that I could port from Vodacom to their network. However, when I arrived, not only did I receive bad service, but the consultant ended up making a record of a sim number different from the one she gave me, and that 24 hours later, I found out that my number (which was previously under vodacom) has been given to someone else under the MTN network, with my previous account balance attached to it! I tried calling the call centre countless times, only to first find a consultant who didn't quite comprehend the porting process, and was told to go back to my nearest MTN store, where I received no help, and when I contacted the call centre again later the same afternoon, I was told that I should wait another 24 hours!
