So after experiencing Cell C's pathetic service for the last three years, I had enough and decided to change my network and move to Vodacom (or I rather tried to move to Vodacom).
I wanted to still keep my old number but be registered on the Vodacom network, I've been told this is called "Porting". So I went into my nearest Vodacom branch, got my new sim-card, and they told me I would be part of the Vodacom family in just 24 hours. It's been 7 days now and I'm still stuck with Cell C. I've been back to the Vodashop branch at least three times and still the problem continues. I have made numerous phone calls (that Vodacom charges me for since I'm not phoning from a Vodacom number, ironic isn't it?) to the call centres & Customer Care Services.
I must say the slogan "South-Africa's leading cellular network" made me quite interested and excited to change to Vodacom, but with this type of service and empty promises maybe I should try Porting to MTN or 8ta???
