Cant do sim swap

I lost my cell phone and I called MTN to try and get my number back. They asked me the security questions with turned out to be all wrong according to them. They asked me when last I loaded airtime, what phone I was using, When I lost it and the last 3 numbers dialled or frequantly dialled numbers. I answered all those questions, but suprisingly they told me that the day I lost my phone is incorrect, the model of the phone is incorrect and the phone numbers i gave them as frequently dialled numbers did not appear in their system log showing that there was no interaction with the numbers for the whole of the month. Funny enough I had just interacted with those contacts before the phone went missing.

I am utterly appalled by MTN service, there is no way the date I lost my phone would be incorrect or the model of the phone. What is the point of Rica then?? if we cannot be identified as the owner of a number. I have since changed to another network, and never going back to MTN.
