I phoned the call centre needing help with a sim swap, as i had lost my phone on Friday 12/04/13. I then went to buy a new phone on Tuesday 16/04/13, the phone was ricared and everything, got home called the call centre, i was asked a few security questions eg. (1.)Name 5 numbers you have dialed in the last 3/5 months, i failed that questions as i have contact list on the phone, there is no need to cram peoples numbers.( 2.) How much air-time was left when the phone was lost? I didn't know, but i'm sure after making a call most people don't check how much air time is left.
A few questions were asked and i answered and i was told i have failed the security questions, but i have this number for years and i feel its very unfair to say i must make time and go to a vodacom outlet with my id book to make a sim swap there. I was never asked for my id number, why?
As i'm typing this i have just been to a vodacom outlet and still waiting for 2 hours before inserting my new starter pack. They must just find a better / efficient also safer way of making a sim swap, currently they...
