Missing and Incorrect information on the phone

On the 02nd Septermber I took my phone to the Boksburg repair center because my phone was rejecting the Sim card. I collected my phone on the 03 Septermber. The report stated that my phone was beyond economic repair because of the corrosion on the buzzer and the socket interface. Few days after receiving my phone I discovered that A) my phone has two serial numbers, The serial number from the back of my phone and the serial number on my phone settings are not the same B). My IMEI number is missing on the phone settings, When I dialled *#06# Null Null comes up. I went back to the repair center to have the above rectified but I was turned away because my phone was BER they can not help. i explained to them the problem is not the device but the information that is now missing and incorrect on my phone but still they refused to acknowledge their error.
i've been calling MTN for days but no one seems to be willing to help me. One customer agent said that the is nothing wrong with the phone that has no IMEI number. The missing information turned my phone into a phone.

I want my phone serial number corrected and the IMEI number put back on my phone. Is that too much to ask?
