We bought a simcard on Tuesday last week and Rica' on Wednesday. We received a msg stating the sim has been activated! but we could not make any calls only received calls and msgs. We have spent more than 10hours on the phone to vodacom and visited 2 vodashops to sort the problem and every time they say it will take 24 - 48 hours to sort the problemt!! They then said we must purchase a new sim and do a sim swop which we have done and waited the recommended time before switching the phone back on. When switched on the thing says 'sim card registration failed' - after talking to them a further 4 times they said wait another 24 hours, pushing the period up to 6days that we cant use the stupid phone and R220 airtime was loaded and i wish not to loose, else i would have thrown it out and get MTN or something. I need to get a solution to this problem today or i will have get the newspaper that i work at to start an investigation into Vodacom for lack of service, as i am sure you guys can not afford it with the good service and rates that CellC and 8.Ta is offering. I cant believe such a well known 'supposed to be reliable' network is so incompetent...!!! ~!!! its very SAD!!
