Breath-taking incompetence

I went into the Northmead Mall branch of Vodacom this afternoon to buy R400 worth of airtime for my two cell phones. I bought the airtime, paid on my credit card and waited - before leaving the shop - for the air time to be credited to my phones. Nothing came through on either. Then the fun started. The assistant in the Vodacom shop got on to Vodacom Customer Care (what a joke) to find out what had happened. I sat there for 45 minutes with no resolution to my problem. I got an sms on one of my phones to say it will take Vodcom 24 hours to investigate. I got the in and went to Pep to buy more airtime. As far as Vodacom is concerned clearly, so what if I have to wait 24 hours for them to sort themselves out so I can use my phones? Pity the poor clients who can't afford a plan B to overcome such service incompetence. No apologies, nothing. Absolutely disgraceful. I have half a mind to go to the SAPS and lay a charge of.
