UNABLE TO CHANGE FROM BIS TO BIS ABSOLUTE

I am utterly disgusted with MTN. I am told that I cannot change from normal BIS to Blackberry Absolute because I renewed my contract in January BEFORE I was aware of any changes to the BIS system. These changes only came about at the start of March. No indication was sent out to contract subscribers about this change, I read about it on News 24.

I am told that BIS is only for browsing. Fine that may be so but people download and I am fine with getting 200mb for my R59 a month subscription to BIS and then purchasing data bundles there after. Now to be told I cannot change to Blackberry absolute because I have already signed a new contract. So now does this mean I am stuck in a 24 month contract with normal BIS that I cannot download anything with and cannot change. I cant even buy data bundles to add onto my subscription because even then I wont be able to download.

I pay MTN a lot of money every month for my 2 contracts. I want to be able to change my current BIS to Absolute and I find it that this cannot be done. I will not be stuck in a 24 month contract where I cannot download anything as I my computer and USB is not always accessible. This is thievery in my opinion!
