Cell C & Customer Service Are NOT Synonymous

After being a loyal Vodacom customer for 15 years, I decided to port my number over to Cell C since I discovered an exceptional deal on the iPhone 5. I put my name down for a phone at the Morning Glen store at the beginning of Feb but the iPhone 5's were scarcely available due to the demand. I was told that the deal was only lasting until end Feb so on the 26th, I decided to complete my application telephonically. I spoke to a lady named Sheron & spent quite some time on the phone with her while she took down all my details & rambled off the T's & C's. She assured me that my application was now complete & that I would take delivery of the phone within 3-4 weeks. Today, nearly 1 month later, I decided to call Cell C & follow up on the status of my phone. I spoke to a lady named Mershell who informed me that there was no evidence of my application on their system. Thankfully she did listen to the call between myself & Sheron that was recorded on 26 Feb & verified that my application was never processed. I was told that Thabo would phone me to rectify the situation but I did not hear from him. I'm appalled at the level of customer service I've received! And I still don't have a phone!
