Useless Fixed Line Supplie

Telkom is useless as a fixed line operator. Been waiting since November 2012 for an ADSL line. Ordered the line in November, received an SMS a couple days later to tell me expected Delivery Date is the 18th March 2013. Called to find out why such a long wait. Was told that they are upgrading the Exchange in my area as it did not have anymore ADSL ports. Phoned again in January, was told by the consultant "Just be patient". Phoned again today, 20th March 2013, was told the date is now 2nd May 2013. So then what is the point of having so many Telkom technician vans working in my area? What exactly are they been paid to do? Advertise? What Telkom really needs is some competition. The prices don't even have to be cheaper than Telkom, the service level just needs to be better. A lot of new and existing customers would definitely move just to experience a company that understands the meaning of the word of "service". To date, no-one can explain what the delay is. As is the case with a lot of companies these days, if you can blame it on another department, good enough. Telkom certainly lives up to that ideal.
