Why cant vodacom help me?

Good Day

My name is Lerato ID number 810517 0278 088. Late 2010 I took a contract with Vodacom.
All was going accordingly until Vodacom decided not to debit my account anymore. I started getting letters that I owe about R2100.
I then made arrangement to pay the account. We initially agreed on R80.00 monthly. I think they debited 5x times and I got letters that my account was handed over.
I called a gain, and I was told that the account will be put back to Vodacom books and I must continue with the payments.
With the consultant we immediately made new arrangements, the consultant told me that the amount I was paying was not enough, so he suggested that I pay R184.00 which I did and still do.

My concern now is that I have lawyers calling me. One of the consultant at these lawyers said that I must just all the proof that I have been paying and he will give me a settlement with 48% discount.
I haven't heard from him since.
The last lady that called me told that I owe R5200. Which is very shocking.

This morning I called Vodacom and they can't recognise my ID number. This is very confusing and tiring.
Please can someone sort this issue out and advice.
