Debit Order date not changed

Mid February I called the Cell C customer care to change my debit order date from the 15th to the end of the month. I understood when the money went off end of February because it was closer to the 15th when I called and I assumed that accounts were already set for collections. I decided to call again today to check if the change was made since it is the 15th tomorrow and I do not want any unpaid debit orders on my account. The call center agent I spoke to in February never changed the date and tomorrow the amount will go off my account and guess what? there is no money in my account. This is not just about having to pay crazy bank charges for unpaid debit order (which is really making me even more furious), it is about the fact that my credit record will also be affected because "I have skipped a payment".

I never took any reference number for that call because I assumed that call center agents are there to respond to customer queries and do exactly what the customers ask them to do! Now my line will be closed too.
