To whom it may concern.
I have had contracts with Vodacom for a number of years. Since November however the signal quality has deteriorated badly. On 27 November 2012 my father passed away and my family struggled to get hold of me.
I am on standby for the company I work on regular basis. (Thus having two phones: company and private) Both these phones are experiencing the same problem, as well as my data connection.
This morning the reception was so bad that I could not make or receive calls. I think it is really pathetic that you pay for a service that you don't receive. I have 4 contracts with Vodacom currently and my work phone is also with them.
I have heard from a friend that one tower in Secunda, where I am staying has 17 transmitters and only three on the tower is working. Vodacom does not have people to fix them. If this is true I think it is really pathetic as they receive millions of rands each day from customers.
If it was a once off occurrence I can understand, but from November 2012 this problem is going on. I have reported the problem with them at least two times, with no success.
Regards,
George
