In October 2012 I moved my contract with MTN to Vodacom because my children had been on Vodacom contracts and I had enjoyed dealing with the people at the Vodacom shop in my area.
Up until then I had been with MTN for 12 years and have never had any signal problems whatsoever.
Since becoming a customer with Vodacom I never seem to have signal in my home. My phone is constantly on No Service. I have reported this three times with the Vodacom call centre. There have been various excuses ranging from "it's where I live" to the tower in Meerensea being worked on. Meerensea is in Richards Bay.
I then receive signal for maybe a day or two and then once again I am back to No Signal.
When I asked one of the consultants at the Vodacom 4 You shop where I changed my contract and got my phone, I was told that Vodacom doesn't work very well on the Bluff.
Why do Vodacom have outlets on the Bluff then? Why wasn't I told this when I had a perfectly good signal with MTN and I approached them about changing my contract to Vodacom?
I am extremely unhappy about this. I so regret my decision to change to Vodacom and want to go back to MTN.
Something tells me this is not going to be very easy.
