August 2012 I upgraded from a Blackberry to a Samsung S3. I specifically told the salesperson that I do not want Vodasure insurance - I will insure the phone under my household contents insurance. I even remember indicating that on a form. In my March invoice I discover that I have been getting charged for insurance this whole time. On top of that I also have been charged for BIS. (I no longer have a Blackberry). This means I have been debited an extra 170 every month since August 2012.

Upon contacting Vodasure they said they had not received a cancellation request. The Vodashop salesperson never said anything about sending a separate request over and above the form I signed.

The same with the BIS, I was never told I had to request the service to be cancelled. Why would I have BIS with a Samsung? I gave the Blackberry to my mother who has been buying BIS on prepaid.

This is very bad service, not informing the customer of cancellation that have to be done and only focusing on the sale. And to be told that I can't get those premiums back doesn't help either.

I have been a faithful Vodacom customer for many years and have defended them but now I see why Vodacom isn't liked.
