I ordered a ASDL from telkom, their special that they are running for R399. A lady calls me from Telkom to confirm all my details and informs me that installation should take place within 7 working days. I proceed to wait 14 working days and nothing happens. Call telkom again to find out what is happening, only to be told my order was never placed. So after another 15min on the phone placing the order with Telkom they say I should receive a sms notifying me with all the details. I wait two days and no sms. So I call Telkom again, to find out what is happening. No they say I will only get a sms once they have investigated the cables in my area and to make certain that I can have a ADSL line at my home and that this may take up to 21 working days now. Surely from my address they are able to pick up that there are cables in the area seeing that a Virgin active and a shopping complex is a block away from my home???
