"UNECONOMICAL TO REPAIR"

My blackberry is still in its 24 month warranty period & kept crashing & would not backup on my PC, memory card wont read, keyboard works fine. I took my phone in to the repair center, with 2 sms updates as to what was happening, thereafter nothing.1 week later I called them to ask what is happening because nobody phoned me to tell me my phone was ready. When I got the job card it was actually ready the next day! The job card read "uneconomical to repair". I queried this & was told the warranty does not cover water damage. I explained that I have at no stage had my phone near water. They opened the phone to show me a slightly rusted board where the keyboard is located & said not covered by warranty. They explained that water damage could be from my hand perspiring, my ear perspiring, my phone being in the car for long periods & the heat causing steam. I asked them if I could get an early upgrade if they not willing to fix the phone & was told no because I had a prior early upgrade almost 2 years ago when my phone got. Funny how I have had many phones & no perspiration issues before. Why cant they take this up with blackberry. I see many complaints about this same thing on HelloPeter.
