Disappointing t&c for new business contract

Good morning,

Visiting the 8ta/Telkom store and chatting to an agent I showed an interest in a certain "business" contract. Discussing the matter with an agent via email from 12 Feb 2013 to 20 Feb 2013 it was confirmed that I (a consumer as per 8ta) can get the "business" contract, Samsung Galaxy 3 mini for R199 per month. Upon completing all the paperwork and going back to the outlet I was informed due to me wanting to port my existing number I cannot get the contract any longer???

Now the expectation was giving that all that was needed was the normal documents and porting and this I assume was a simple process. No one mentioned anything about not getting the contract due to me wanting a number ported. Firstly, does 8ta not want my money? Surely, as a growing cellular provider they would welcome my business especially to increase there subscriber base and since I am an ADSL customer with there sister company. Secondly, I find it quite odd that these "business" contracts that they offer is much, much more cost effective than the "consumer" contracts. Why?

I am hoping that I get the contract that I want and not one that is formulated for me.
