Keep existing number when getting a Contract

Hi,

Please assist me here...
In December 2012 I successfully Ported my number from Vodacom Pre-Paid to 8ta Pre-Paid.

New Purchase:
I went to the Northgate Branch on the 30 March to Purchase a "Samsung Galaxy S III Mini" on Contract.
I went in again on Sat 6 April. No Success.
We are now in the second week of April. How long must I wait???

Issue:
The system is not allowing the Store Agent to convert my existing Pre-Paid number to the Contract Cellphone I am trying to Purchase. The Store Agent has tried numerous times to assist me, but is getting no progress or feedback from the Technical Department with this issue.

Complaint:
Why can't my Existing Pre-Paid number be converted to a Contract with a New Phone?
I like my number, I've had it for over 10 years, why would I want to change it just for a new Cellphone???

Happy Client:
I have been a proud customer/client since about Oct 2011 with 2 10Gig Promo Contracts. Payments have been 100% successful every month since the beginning.
I have also been promoting 8ta's good service, products and signal strength to all my friends and colleagues from day 1.

Does 8ta/Telkom Mobile still want my money or must I go to MTN for R20 Less p/m?
