Beware of misinformation from Mtn dealerships!

I was misinformed about the cellphone contract that I am now stuck with for another 22 months! When I asked for a contract, I opted for the Anytime200. Thabo advised me to take the TopUp200, where I'd pay R409 per month. I opted for the Anytime200 where I would pay R399 per month because it was cheaper. He explained that with the Anytime200 contract, I would not be able to load airtime once my R200 airtime had been used up and so convinced me to take the TopUp200 contract. I agreed to the TopUp200 contract and so he applied for the TopUp (according to our agreement). He then called me 2 days later, to come and pick up the handset. On my arrival at the store, he told me that he MISTAKENLY applied for the incorrect contract (being the Anytime200), I then told him that its fine as that was the initial contract that I asked for. What he did NOT explain was that once the R200 airtime had been used up on the Anytime200, I would be billed extra, on top of the R399 that I pay monthly. What he also did NOT explain, was that I would not receive the FULL R200 airtime amount as I would be taxed. I only just found out when I phoned customer service. I'm off to the National Consumer Commission.
