Mtn
Misleading service

I went in to renew my contract with MTN. Although I requested a blackberry the sales lady convinced me to take the new Samsung Galaxy that had just been released the day before by telling me that bbm was no longer going to be free. I did my own research and found this to be untrue but when I tried to return the phone which had not been activated or used the sales lady denied having said this. Upon signing the new contract I was meant to receive R200 airtime, 200 sms, 200 MB data and 30 min of MTN to MTN calls at a cost of R399pm. The sales lady then asked if I would like the contract to be a Top-up one, as my last had been a top-up, for an additional fee of R49pm. I agreed to this. What I was not told was that by having a Top-up I would lose all of the afore mentioned package and would only receive R200 airtime. Logically who would pay R448 for R200 airtime and 25 sms. I have been in to see the manager, who has been very unhelpful although he agreed that the agent should have informed me of the loss of data etc. Mtn are refusing to migrate the package, saying the Top up package was signed for, but as a result of misinformation. I have copies of the original data offer.
