I took out two contracts with Cell C in Dec 2011. According to contract, I pay R200.00 pm on each contract and SIM''s will be loaded with R235.00 pm airtime.
In February 2013 the one contract was loaded with only R137.00 and in March 2013 with R91.00 only.
I enquired with the branch and with customer services and was told the following;
Due to the airtime not being used, Cell C is now loading less until airtime is being used. In the interim I must still pay R200.00 pm.
I accept the fact that I forfeit the unused airtime after 3 months, but not that I am now loaded with less airtime.
According to them the calculation is done in such a way that they load the difference only.
This is totally unacceptable as it is top-up contracts and has nothing to do with Cell C whether I use my airtime or not.
According to contract they must load R235.00 pm and they are not doing that.
They are in breach of contract and I wanted to cancel the contracts with immediate effect. I was then told that I have to pay R1134.00 on each contract for the cancellation fees.
