Stay away from MTN Anytime 200 Xperia Z promo

On the 25th of May I went to an MTN store to upgrade my contract and opted for the Sony Xperia Z promo package for R369pm, During the upgrade I wasn;t told that the package I was signing for was different from the Anytime 100 I previously had, which allowed me to buy prepaid airtime should I run out of the pre loaded airtime. I only discovered that 3 days later, when I called the customer care to find out why I was not able to check my balance using *141#. I was then told that the package I was on didn't allow me to check my balance in that fashion and I could not load airtime because this was an open ended contract. This was a shock to me as the plan was not explained to me and should I have known that I wouldn't have upgraded at all. Not wanting bad surprises at the end of the month. If that was not enough I discovered the following day that I could not make international calls, and needed to have the service activated before I could make them. And I was told that I would be billed separately for them. My question is why give me R200 airtime if I can only use them for certain call. And why wasn;t that explained to me before I took the contract.
