I applied online for an upgrade on 18 Jan '13. When the new handset was delivered, I was abroad. Upon my return a few days later, I called 082 1959 and was told that the delivery would be re-attempted on 4 Feb.
On 5 Feb, after no delivery, I called again. I was informed that after 3 delivery attempts a handset gets returned to the warehouse and the upgrade rolled back. This had happened to mine despite the fact that there had only been 1 delivery attempt. Two requests for a call-back and a request for an email on [URL Removed] had no result. I then selected online chat. The consultant informed me that my email was being attended to, and that I should wait for that.
I was emailed a spreadsheet on which it was impossible to decipher which package matched the one I wanted (which, according to the website, is still available). I can't re-apply online, as the "My Upgrades" page still indicates that the upgrade order has been placed. I went onto online chat again on 8 Feb and was told that my query had been sent to the Upgrades section and should be resolved today. To date I have not heard from Vodacom and suspect my request has once more managed to lose itself somewhere.
