We subscribed to MTN's Uncapped Sh@relink B683 Internet Package. The first few days the internet was an absolute dream! We used IBurst before, and thought it was way to slow for us! After the first few days the MTN internet was getting slower and slower. Downloading at .1kbps!!! It takes forever to get on to Google. We are aware that the download speed for the 1st 3gigs is supposed to be 1MB/s and thereafter it gets throttled down, but to .1kbps!! I phoned and was given several things I had to do for example: press the reset button, unplug the modem for 5min, remove sim card etc. My complaint is that nowhere in their advertisment do the inform people that the more you use the internet the slower it becomes (even though it is uncapped). What can be done about this as we signed a contract for 12 months, thank goodness it was not a 24 month contract, at R400 per month!
