Vodacom, you continue to rest on your oligopolistic laurels and ignore providing good customer service. Below is just one example.
I am a contract customer. I also have a prepaid microsim and a prepaid fullsize sim. The fullsize sim is used in my USB modem and I top this up with prepaid data bundles. The microsim is a backup that has never been used.
In mid-January, I bought a R99 data bundle. My partner sent me the number to topup, but accidentally provided me with the microsim rather than fullsize sim number. I bought the topup, then later, realising the error, purchased another R99 bundle for the microsim and emailed Vodacom, requesting to transfer the erroneously-purchased bundle to the other sim.
I waited 2 weeks for a reply, which didn't materialise, finally calling the contact centre yesterday. On getting through I was told that I could not do a transfer. Ludicrous. All sims are linked under my ID number, yet you can't do a transfer? I'm sure it doesn't specify this in the terms. Even if you did, it just doesn't make for a good customer experience and shows you for corporate.
I think I'll move my prepaid data requirements to 8ta.
