I am in the habit of paying MTN a set sum each month (I do my husband's company payments) and reconciling the MTN account every quarter. Two weeks ago I asked my husband for the statements and he said he thought I had them. This is how I discovered I had not had an MTN statement for at least 4 months. Phoned call centre to enguire and was told that I had requested emailed statements. Okay, I asked, what email address are you sending them to? (We have more than one). I nearly fell off my chair laughing when I was told - "we don't have an email address on file for you"! So the brilliant solution to that problem is to DO NOTHING - of course! You do have a phone number on file for me, I assume. You are a cell phone service provider. Anyway, when I had picked myself up off the floor, I asked for the statements to be posted to me. Still nothing. Phoned back today to be told "our post office is on strike", but if I held the line I would be put through to Michelle Bouwer in Credit Control who would email me the statements - assume after asking for an email address!
Held on so long for Ms Bouwer, I gave up. I now want not only my statements, but to cancel the contract.
