I sent in my phone for repairs on 6 January 2014 to be repaired. It is insured by MTN. It has a cracked screen, the battery is faulty, the charging port does not work and the charger doesn't work. They told me it would take 2-3 weeks time. Today I went to collect my phone (exactly a month later), only to hear they didn't fix anything, because the screen is cracked, and I must pay R 2 900. I specifically asked them to leave the screen if it will cost money, just fix the battery, charging port and charger in that case as I need my phone just to work. If I have insurance, why is payment so high, I would understand if I need to pay an excess amount, but R 2 900 is outrageous. Seeing as the insurance I pay for helps absolutely nothing, I hereby request a full refund of all payments made to them, or that they fix my phone within 3 days (seeing as I already waited more than the allotted time) or a brand new phone if they cannot fix. Please respond a.s.a.p.
