A BB cellphone user on our business account received a complimentary iphone 4, placed his sim card, number 0825633384 into the iphone. Start using the iphone from the 30th of December until today the 5th of February. (Vodacom only phoned today to alert the user of the fact that R1 000 was spend on this number between the 1-5th of February. Way wait 6/7 weeks? Vodacom without any warning eg. in the form of an sms to the consumer bill the account today at R7000 (Jan Feb). Without warning the customer that another device has been used and that it would lead to an excessive bill, but if the consumer has bought an added internet bundle 2G@R240, which Vod advise the user only today, instead of being billed R7000 for the same service on contract using another device. On top of that they keep on billing the BIS service which could not be used on a iphone. Vodacom picked up that the user was using an iphone without warning the costumer of the implicated costs relating to using a iphone instead of a BB.
The bill for the last 2 years was on average R500! Should the customer not be alerted in a day or 2 if that amount is spend on data within 2 days??
I would like this to be rectified!
