Disappointed with Vodacom insurance

I took out a contract last year for an iPhone 4S. I pay R449 a month. Top up.
I was advised by vodacom that I should insure it with the band 5 as if I need it replaced I could get the new iPhone as ill be paying a higher premium to band 4 which covers up to 7000.
Now lets be honest, the premiums are NOT cheap. My monthly bill is huge as I'm paying that and the 449 for the iPhone 4S.
Anyway I claimed for a Samsung s3 last year after I broke my iPhone. Yesterday my cellphone got and I want an iPhone again. I do prefer it.
So this is my dilemma: I am paying for an iPhone 4S the same as what an iPhone 5 16g basically. I am paying insurance to insure a phone of R9500.
I DO NOT CARE THAT MY SAMSUNG ONLY COST R7250 as I would have been with a band 4!
Wy would I voluntarily be paying a higher premium for nothing!??
So if I'm paying for an "iPhone 5" and paying a premium of a phone around that price, why is it that I have to pay a total of R2651 rand to get the iPhone 5 16gb?
So I'm coming to hello Peter before I go off to the CPA.
This is unacceptable.
