JOB 950-9666
31 May 2013 - Upgrade contract New Phone: HTC One 32GB
June 2013 -> Dec 2013: Brilliant phone, no hassles with software/hardware
24 Dec 2013: Plug phone into HTC charger, after a few minutes smell a burning odour, the mini usb connector on the phone is melting!!! Unplug and damage: Not Good! port is fried
2 Jan 2014 - Book phone in for repairs: Consultant insists i dropped the phone. No use arguing with uneducated servicemen. I insist he book the phone as manufacturer warranty (1 year with HTC)
14 Jan 2014: Receive phone call with quote of - R2500 for repair to phone, I give the go ahead.
5 Feb 2014: Receive phone call, cannot repair phone, due to lack of spares and no stock of HTC one in SA, offer me iPhone 5 16GB or Samsung S4 at same cost of quote!!
Vodacom does not want to wait until the stock is available, they want to shove inferior phones down my throat. Why cant they offer me a like for like substitute? I am still paying my monthly contract of R560
Where is the evidence that I dropped the phone which caused the mini usb port to burn out whilst on charge??
I have since cancelled the quote and asked them to send my HTC back. PATHETIC
