My mom passed away last year and I had to help my sister to take her cellphone off my mom's name. We had all the documentation. We went to MTN Northgate Service Centre on Sunday 2 Feb at 12pm. There is no one to help you at the door. Customers have to ask the security guards to assist you. There are 10 service points but only 3 are open. There are 3 security guards also aimlessly wandering around and chatting to each other. We have to wait in a long queue for an hour. The service agent that helps us hears our problem and without any sympathy tells us to phone the call centre. That absolutely ENRAGED me as we had phoned many times and now they tell us they cannot help at this "service centre". When I complained to the service agent his response was arrogant. I am giving up on paying large amounts in contract fees to MTN. We have been customers for over 10 years and this is the treatment we get in this difficult time. I would be better off on prepaid.
