My Galaxy Nexus was sent in to Vodacare Menlyn for repairs of the electronic components inside, it was getting very hot and would not charge. The phone also had a crack on the bottom right of the screen which we spessifically asked not to have repaired as it does not in any way negatively impact the functioning of the phone. When I contacted Vodacare to track the repairs I was told that it was Samsungs policy not to repair the phone even though it was still under guarantee, unless i allow them to replace the screen as well, this at a cost of R2304. Ridiculous. If i refuse the quote they would return the phone without any repairs being done even though the parts that needed to be repaired were still under guarantee. Is it not me the client who gets to decide whether i want the screen repaired or not. What type of policy is this?
