Mtn
Account password asked for over the phone

I Upgraded on 01/02/2014 and very happily got informed by Francois from Design square that i can register and control most of my mtn spending on the MTN active website.

I tried to log in and register and all went well until the linking of the cell number to the account, I am on contract. The linking tells me that my number is not valid (by the way there is a spelling mistake in your error message).

I phone MTN on 808 and after the operator puts the phone down in my ear i phone again and tell them in a stern yet friendly way that it annoys me when people do that, I explain the situation to Margaret who seems to struggle to understand what I'm telling her so i explain again. Now that she understand that I have a problem and what it is she proceeds to ask me for my log in details so she can check on her side, I ask her if she wants my PIN and she says yes, I complain that you cannot ask somebody for their pin, and she argues with me while i try to find a grain of professional helpful support out of her and when i realised its futile i simply put the phone down after i was informed she doesn't have a supervisor tonight and i have to phone back tomorrow morning.

This is pathetic
