Bad customer service, system broken

On Monday (26/01) I went to the Vodacom shop in somerset mall (closest one to Pick'nPay entrance) to apply for a new contract.
After filling in the form they made me wait for like at least 20 minutes until the girl decided to help me.
My details was entered into the system and she said it will take 1-2 hours to process the information and she will call me. Well I was never called, apparently calling customers is over rated?

So I went to the shop again Tuesday at around 18:00. Firstly she acted as if she didn't know me. Then made me wait rather than just tell me what is going on.
Then when I complained she said that apparently she checked the system and it wasn't finished processing my information... how that is an excuse for not calling me I don't understand?

So the other person checked on the system only to find that I've been denied. Apparently Vodacom couldn't find my credit rating? How this is possible is just silly since I have a home loan at ABSA and had a credit card for over 5 years.

Anyways she said they will call me back today before 10am...
This level of incompetence and bad customer service is amazing, must take a lot of effort to be this bad?
