Mtn
Insurance Claim

I bought a phone (Nokia Lumia 920) on contract with MTN at their Melrose Arch branch and upon qualifying and receiving the handset, the consultant asked me if I wanted to have it insured to which I replied 'yes, I would like to have it insured'. The consultant proceeded to tell me that he will apply on my behalf with their third-party insurance called '24-hour Line' and will update me on the progress. About a week later, I received an SMS from 24-hour Line, even though I cannot recall the contents of the SMS since its been almost a year, the SMS did not require any action from me. I went to the branch to notify the consultant of the SMS to confirm what he had mentioned that the insurance company would contact me, to this he said the insurance is active.
Since the phone amount per month was R400.00, the first debit that went through my bank account was R512.00 and to my knowledge this included the insurance premium. However, the third debit was R409.00 and has been so to this month. I did not enquire about this

On the 20th of January this year, the phone was and I went to report it. I was told I was not insured because the application process was not completed. Please help.
