At the end of January 2013 I logged a request with Afrihost to move my ADSL which they were managing at the time. After logging a further 2 calls one week later, I still not did not receive any response to my requests and was forced to call several times thereafter. When I finally got through to a support agent they assured me that my line would be moved within the next month.
After moving into my new home I received a SMS notification, on 7 March 2013, stating that my line had been migrated back to Telkom. It also stated that in order to move my line to my new location, I would have to apply through Telkom which could take up to 30 days.
By this stage I was furious and felt mislead as to what Afrihosts part would be in this process. I contacted Telkom, as requested, and they responded within 12 hours explaining that they could not yet move the line as it was still with Afrihost. I called the Afrihost call centre again and was told that they need to follow up with their Telkom team and would get back to me within 5 minutes. It has been 4 days and I am still waiting!!!
