Afrihost manages my telkom line. For a while it was bliss.
Nearing the end of last month I requested Telkom to move my line, which they promptly informed me I have to do through Afrihost, as they manage my line.
I contacted Afrihost to move the line, which they say they cannot do - on their "Client zone" - not informing me via email, SMS or any other medium that would have reached me promptly. I have to apply for a new line, their online support says to me once I logged into their system to eventually see their reply. In the meanwhile, I have been charged line rental and subscription fees for December, while my account and line cancellation will only be processed at the 31st of December.
I have no internet now, as I have moved. Afrihost has already charged me for December.
Previously Telkom has painlessly moved my line with no issues, new applications or extra charges for time I could not use. I wish I'd never let Afrihost manage my telkom line. This was supposed to make things easier.
