SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE

I had a phone line installed a week ago and tried to phone a number in England. The operator said I cannot phone internationally as my phone is barred. I phoned Telkom helpline and after waiting 25 minutes listening to an answering machine, I was told that I had to go to a branch to have my phone line 'unbarred' for international calls. They said that they cannot do it telephonically?!?! Now I have to get in my car and drive to a Telkom office to have my barring lifted?!?! What DISGUSTING customer service is this!!!
