Going through my partners cellphone account I noticed that he was paying for the 'BIS' service when he in fact owns a Samsung. This has cost us about R400 over the last six months and as students with very limited budgets, that is a good two weeks of groceries.
How is it possible that the cellphone provider (Vodacom) did not cancel this service when convincing him to upgrade to a different brand phone.
On phoning Vodacom to enquire and cancel the service he was told that because he had activated the BIS himself when using the Blackberry that it was his responsibility to cancel it.
My impression and what I thought had been done was that when upgrading the consultant you are dealing with should have cancelled all the previous charges concerning the previous phones operations.
I await your speedy response
Kristin
