Vodacom
Billed without permission for content services

It has come to my attention that I have been repeatedly billed for "Content Services". According to Vodacom, I had subscribed to these services, even though I had never to my knowledge given any such permissions, requested such a subscription, opted in or in any other way agreed to be billed for said "Content Services".

Repeated calls to Vodacom customer services have had no acceptable results. It has now been almost three weeks and Vodacom is unable to even tell me which company the fees are coming from!

How can Vodacom add third party costs to my invoices without my consent or even informing me and then deny all responsibility for it, telling me to "contact the company responsible[ sic]"? How can the company that issues the invoice and collects the monies refuse to accept responsibility? How can Vodacom justify a system where a customer can be held liable for fees from a third party without the customer's consent? How can my personal data be exposed to such an extent that this is even possible?

I feel that my privacy has been violated, my money taken without permission, and most certainly my trust in Vodacom as a company has been permanently shattered.
