I am residing in Brackendowns in Alberton and have three landlines. On Friday 10 January 2014 all three lines went dead and I reported it immediately. Since then my real troubles started:
Nobody came out to fix this and I have done everything possible. I tried to contact Telkom on 10210 from my cell phone on numerous occasions and every time I waited for 10 minutes or more without anybody speaking to me. This is very costly if you have to phone from your cellphone!! I then downloaded the android app to my galaxy tab and escalated the faults. I then drove to the Telkom exchange where somebody took the numbers in question and that person then also disappeared. I drove through every street and eventually found a guy working underground on Telkom cables. He told me that he can not fix landlines. I then went to the Shop in Alberton City and spoke to a Mr StanleyMashishi. Stanley escalated the issue again. Nobody pitched so I went back to Stanley and he tried his best to get hold of a technician but was told that they are very busy and will eventually come to me. The fault numbers is 904CRZ100114, 1020CRK100114 and 906CRZ100114. Telkom is a monopoly and need competition!!
