I recently bought a Vodafone WiFi router (R206Z) from the Vodacom branch in Rustenburg.
I have a 3GB data contract with Vodacom but have always been disappointed with the internet speed.
The salesman guaranteed me that using a WiFi router will solve the problem. The router made absolutely no difference. I am trying to play online games via my PS3 but the internet speed is so poor that I keep losing connection- even though the router specs say "ONLINE GAMING CAPABLE". This is extremely frustrating!!
The router shows "Excellent" 3G / HSDPA signal @ 65Mb/s but still very slow. I tested my router in Rustenburg at a friends house that also plays online games via his PS3 and it does the exact same thing. I am losing a lot of data every month and getting more and more irritated every day. I logged a complain with Vodacom via their customer service e-mail and only received a automated e-mail back but still no response (reference number is: 009E~EXFP)!!
This is very poor service from Vodacom- I really expect better from such an excellent service provider.
