I activated my sim on the 24th of December and now the phone wont switch on. I called the call centre to request a cancellation as we are off to a bad start and I don't see how MTN can expect me to carry on with an agreement that has failed to meet my expectations. Now I'm being told I need to pay R4220.57 for cancelling the contract... sorry I may be slow but can someone please explain to me what this is for if the phone doesn't work???!!! I heard I have 6 months to return a damaged product but now the call centre tells me I cannot return it I can only repair it?? How can I be forced to stick to this contract when I was sold an inferior good?? I don't care that it can be replaced, I DONT WANT IT ANYMORE! I am beyond disappointed all I want is to cancel this contract and I don't understand why I am being punished for being sold a faulty device! CALL ME ON MY LANDLINE AS I DONT HAVE A CELL ANYMORE THANKS TO YOU!
