What good is a monthly limit?

Cell C has taken close to a R1000 off my account for the past two months, per month. This despite a credit limit of R500 on my account. I have also not received my account statement for the past few months. On their website all I'm able to see concerning a detailed breakdown of my account, is that most of the money went toward data charges. This despite the fact that I have a data bundle active on my account. Pleas explain to me how my credit limit gets ignored month after month?
