How is such incompetence even possible???

I recently complained about being ripped off by Vodacom at OR Tambo airport because of their exorbitant prices (10 times normal!) which are CLEARLY designed to take advantage of unsuspecting foreigners who have no other options if they need a simcard urgently. After waiting almost a week I received a pathetic response basically telling me 'tough, that's the price, deal with it'. They 'claimed' to have tried to call me but I received no missed calls or voicemail - maybe another Vodacom problem? AND to top it all off the completely incompetent staff member didn't even RICA the simcard properly so it stopped working 2 weeks later! It saddens me, after being a loyal customer for over 10 years, that I will now need to change to one of the other, more respectful service providers. Vodacom used to be one of the best mobile providers in SA, but I've heard from a growing number of people that they are no longer any good.
