I took my phone & simcard, ID and proof of residence to Vodacom Tiger valley shopping centre. I aske for a sim swop due to my simcard being damaged due to my cat getting hold of it... I was immediately told by the staff that I should get a avadavit from the police. I drove 10km to the nearest police office... did the avidavit and drove back to Tiger Valley Vodacom. The staff asked me if I want the same number again... I even had to sign on their form that the number I gave them should be the new no, that I will have. The staff said I had to wait 24 to 48 hours for the simcard to be registered... I allso had to pay R29 for the new simcard.
I immediately put the simcard in my phone and was on my way to work which is 30km away, whiles driving I kept on getting sms's and phone calls from people and numbers I did not know. Nobody could reach me on my numeber and apparently the sim I had in my phone belonged to somebody ells. The owners wife called me and she explained that her husband allso went for a sim swop this morning and they are receiving all my calls. I had to deal with the most arugant lady. I got handed another simcard by the manageress. Still no working phone...
