Please avoid MTN as they have unlawfully cancelled my contract prematurely. They deactivated my SIM one day prior to the cancellation date. They deactivated the SIM on the 12th of January 2014, while their contract clearly states that the expiry of the new contract is the 13th of January 2014. I have earlier, requested that the number be cancelled on expiry, but later on, on MTN active, personal account, on the 9th of Jan, i requested that the number be ported to a prepaid. (ref no 107985709) They chose to ignore that one. They are well aware of the problems this will cause. MTN seems to be oblivious that there are contract laws & rules in this country. And to add insult to injury, they messed up my previous upgrade, resulting in thousands of Rands of illegal charges. I had to visit their head office to sort that mess out. Please avoid like the plague!!
